Demonstrations for laboratory analysts

PHOTONFOOD demonstration at NÉBIH

On 25 November 2024, a successful demonstration event took place at the NÉBIH Laboratory in Budapest as part of the PHOTONFOOD project, highlighting innovative sensor technologies designed to enhance food safety monitoring.

The primary audience consisted of NÉBIH laboratory analysts. The event began with an introduction to the PHOTONFOOD project by Gyula Kasza, setting the stage for a deeper exploration of the technology. Following this, Antoni Femenias presented the MI-FI and HI-FI sensor platforms, detailing their capabilities in detecting microbial and chemical contaminants in food samples.

A key highlight of the event was the live demonstration, where participants observed the MI-FI and HI-FI systems in action. The demonstration was followed by an engaging Q&A session, during which laboratory analysts posed insightful questions about the technology’s functionality and its possible integration into NÉBIH’s laboratory workflows.

To assess the impact of the demonstration, feedback was collected through 16 completed questionnaires. The responses indicated strong interest in the PHOTONFOOD sensor systems and their potential applications in routine food safety testing.
